Dear
Altar Servers,
Summer
is here and I wanted to thank all of you for your continued dedication.
I would also like to bring three issues to your attention.
First, since it is summer many servers will be taking vacation.
Please be diligent with finding replacements and if you find
yourself in a mass with less than two servers please step in and serve.
Second, please do not ask the new servers to be substitutes when
looking for replacements. We
do not want to be in the situation where we have all new servers (which we
have already seen). The new
servers are indicated by an asterisk near their name on the Altar Server
List. Third, if you are a
scheduled server please remember to wear dress shoes.
Especially during summer, it is easy to forget and wear sneakers.
Please
review these reminders:
1.
Arrive 15 minutes before Mass
2.
Wear dress shoes :
There seems to be an increase in sneakers
3.
Sign in
4.
Check that the candles on the Sanctuary are lit 10 minutes
before Mass
5.
Make sure the Credence tables have all required items
Please review your phone number
and time preferences on the third page of this document and let me know if
you have any changes. If you
