| LIVING FAITH: WHOLE COMMUNITY CATECHESIS |

Living Faith: whole community catechesis is a contemporary approach to faith formation that models Jesus’ own method of forming His disciples to live and share their faith. Just as Jesus adapted his message, Living Faith will strive to meet parishioners where they are and respect life’s demands on them, offering a spiritually enriching and theologically sound learning opportunity as well as facilitating their ability to make and keep faith central to the life of their family. People have often remarked that they are made to feel especially welcome at our Liturgies and find it easy to ‘join in’ on various projects such as our hugely successful Habitat House and more recently, our Guatemala Mission. As a community we can be greater than the sum of our parts. As a community reflects on its relationship in Christ, every member is nurtured in faith, newcomers and long-timers alike. Each person is valued in a manner that says, “not only do we care for you, but we care for you so deeply that we want you to grow in your love for Christ for the rest of your life.” This profound kind of faith formation cannot be contained in a classroom. Being formed in faith goes beyond ‘information’ because it is rooted in Christian living that brings us out of ourselves, always pointing us toward others near and far. This is Living Faith. ![]()
