With Mary as Queen the patroness of our parish, it was natural that a special dedication to Mary be incorporated into our parish’s 25th anniversary celebration. This special dedication took the form of a Mary’s Garden, drawing on the long historical tradition of these gardens throughout the world. This particular Mary’s Garden not only recognizes the significant role that Mary plays in our spiritual lives but provides a location for meditation and prayer, the opportunity for parishioners to memorialize their loved ones, and an outlet for those wishing to beautify their parish.

As Mary’s Garden is a living reminder of Mary’s example and our dependence on God’s presence, parishioners are encouraged to be part of the experience of the garden on an ongoing basis. This can be done by using the garden for individual and group prayer and meditation and as a focus for family gatherings and pictures after Mass or on special family occasions. Parishioners can also participate by memorializing loved ones during the biennial sale of new pavers for the garden. Parishioners are encouraged to contribute their time and talent by joining the Mary’s Garden Committee to assist with the maintenance and enhancement of the garden as the seasons change.
