Make a Joyful Note

We'll be singing new Mass parts for Lent from The Heritage Mass. Check them out:

Holy

Mystery of Faith

Adult Choir

The adult choir sings at the 10:00 AM Mass September through June - and occasionally at the 11:45 AM Mass.  Practices are held on Thursdays from 7:35 to 9:00 PM .  We welcome those with a genuine desire to share your musical talent in praise of God.

Cantor

Cantors are responsible to lead the congregation in sung prayer as well as proclaiming the psalm.  Cantors must have the ability to sing well; musical training is preferred.

Handbell Choir

Liturgies are truly enhanced by our wonderful handbell choir which is open to all from age 8 through 80.  Training and practices take place several times a month on Sundays at 8:30 AM.  Handbells is a great first instrument for those who have no prior music experience and is also a great 2nd or 3rd instrument for those who have some musical experience.  An 'Introduction to Handbells' workshop is held as needed for anyone considering handbells.

Children’s Choir

Children’s choir welcomes students in grades 2 through high school to worship through song. The younger kids typically focus on singing melody while our older kids focus on singing harmony.  This choir typically sings the third Sunday at the 10:00 AM Mass October through May/early June as well as several other liturgies during the school year.  Practices take place Thursday evenings (usually) from 6:30 - 7:30 PM in the Church.

Ensemble/Instrumentalists

Throughout the liturgical year, we welcome musicians who play string, wind, brass, piano, guitar, or percussive instruments.  For some celebrations, there may be a desire to bring together an ensemble of instrumentalists (string trio/quartet in combination with other musicians).  Musicians must have the ability to play well; musical training is preferred.

joyful_noteCome sing!  Come ring!  Come play! We welcome new members!

There are plenty of other opportunities in music ministry in addition to participating with a choir!
+ Cantor Ministry that helps lead our assemblies at most of our Masses.
+ Musicians who play an instrument (piano, guitar, percussion, string or wind instruments, etc.) are welcome to participate in our music ministry.
+ Lots of opportunity to help with music for Living Faith and Children's Liturgy of the Word too!
