Several years ago our parish decided to be more purposeful about our mission. To help us be mission driven, to keep our mission always in the forefront of our minds, we settled on a shortened statement , one that is easy to remember, one we can ask ourselves whenever we are planning or preparing something, as in: will this make Church matter?!
At the same time we developed a plan which enables us to more consciously focus on our mission and achieve our goals!
Attached below is our revised plan, adjusted in 2022, which currently guides us as we strive to Make Church Matter!
We hope you'll take the time to review our plan, our reflections, and our reports - much has been accomplished, but much remains to be done!
Remember, this is the mission of each of us who is baptized, not just the pastor, or parish staff, or parish leadership! We invite you to accept your baptismal call to discipleship, to Make Church Matter, to attract, invite and engage others into the life of the Church, the life of Christ!
And remember: pray always for ourselves, our ministries, our parish and all those for whom Church doesn't currently matter as much as we hope it would!
